We work exclusively with small, environmentally conscious producers—wines we personally love and would proudly serve at our own table. With us, there’s no pretension or intimidation. Each selection is paired with food suggestions (if that’s your thing) and includes a collectible art print by local artists, capturing the spirit of Spain’s vineyards.

Our story
“I love wine but always end up buying the same thing. What should I try?”
This was the question Lettie heard time and again after moving to Madrid with her family in early 2024. For many, the world of Spanish wine can feel overwhelming—sticking to Rioja or Albariño feels safe but predictable. Lettie saw an opportunity to share her recommendations and help others discover the treasure trove of unique and exciting wines that Spain has to offer.
Lettie has 15 years of experience in the wine world, from fine wine sales to marketing and export. She’s also a certified WSET educator, passionate about making wine accessible and approachable. For Lettie, it’s not about fancy jargon or exclusivity—it’s about sharing her love for wine in a way that’s inclusive, fun, and inspiring.
In the summer of 2024, over strong coffees and a slice of tortilla in Chamberí, Lettie met Charley, and the idea for Handpicked Spanish Wines was born. Charley brings her own rich perspective: raised just outside Murcia, she grew up surrounded by Spain’s culinary traditions. With a background in project management and a passion for supporting small businesses, Charley also runs her own supper clubs in Madrid, where wine and food bring people together.
Together, Lettie and Charley combine their expertise and love for wine to offer something truly special: a gateway to the heart of Spain’s wine culture. Through Handpicked Spanish Wines, they aim to inspire curiosity, connection, and, of course, a glass or two of something exceptional.
